Jesus and Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1:30 says, "But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God…"

Jesus became wisdom from God for us! Now read Proverbs 3:13-16 verses with this in mind…

13 Happy is the man who finds Jesus, And the man who gains understanding;

14 For Jesus' proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And Jesus' gain than fine gold.

15 Jesus is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with Jesus.

16 Length of days is in Jesus' right hand, In Jesus' left hand riches and honor.

And consider Proverbs 4:7-9 …

7 Jesus is the principal thing; Therefore get Jesus. And in all your getting, get understanding.

8 Exalt Jesus, and Jesus will promote you;Jesus will bring you honor, when you embrace Jesus.

9 Jesus will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory Jesus will deliver to you.

Consider this as you read the book of proverbs. See the word "wisdom" - think about "Jesus". The full implications of this are staggering, especially in light of 1 Corinthians 2:7 which says: "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,"

Jesus becoming Wisdom is a mystery, just as the Trinity is a mystery. God will share this mystery with those who fear Him: Psalm 25:14: "The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him,…"

I woke up the other morning actually yesturday morning and my first thought was: "We in Gensis", Who is the we?

I thought about some of my friends beliefs, that the we was Jesus and God and others we is God and the Spirit, and then We as God and Water (the reflection)

Then I thought, that "we" and it was as though my focus shifted, not to someone outside of myself, as the we was them but the we was us.

So my head spun a bit and I though how do I share this without getting them confused about who "we" are, and how you find yourself written in the book. *wink, wink*

*hint* - someone once said to me, that "you" are not part of that book. :)

Great hub once again!!!! much love and hugs!!!

God reveals Himself through His image ... and He's been revealing a part of Himself through you that I never knew about before. Thanks!

Wow, another terrific hub B. And here's a little something that I believe folks might want to consider: The whole "we" thing in Genesis being the figure of speech "enallage," which is the use of one grammatical form in place of another, as the plural for the singular in the editorial use of "we" We are not amused.(Queen Victoria)

Good point b4, It is true, that in the Hebrew, Elohim is a plural word.
